Special interests:
Humanities and academic writing, literature and art, politics and public affairs, sport and popular culture.

Work undertaken:
Editing, proofreading, writing, abstracting (summarising complex information and ideas) and research, offered to corporate clients and SMEs, to public bodies and trade organisations as well as to publishers, both Irish and international. The range of the material covered is broad: reports, policy documents and statements, nonfiction books and articles, website content, speeches, dissertations and essays, etc.

I have extensive experience as an editor, managing editor and writer; and as a third-level tutor and educator. With over 13 years working for a major U.S.-based academic publisher, the H.W. Wilson Company, I have a proven track record in summarising complex information so it can be readily accessed and absorbed. As Managing Editor of the H.W. Wilson Company’s Humanities Department, I trained in-house and freelance editors and writers to produce accurate and clear text while meeting exacting publishing deadlines.
