Freelance editor and proofreader since the beginning of 2016. Previously worked for more than 20 years in newspaper production including 11 years as chief sub-editor of The Irish News in Belfast (CIPR Newspaper production journalist of the year 2008 and 2010; commended 2003, 2004). Started my career as crime/courts reporter with various newspapers and news agencies in England.

Recent training:
2015: Proofreading (P2) with the SfEP.  2015: Copy-editing (CE1 and CE2) also with the SfEP. 2016: completed the SfEP mentoring course in copy-editing.
